Creative has a line of pocket HD camera’s called the vado, I purchased back on black friday the 2nd gen vado HD pocket camera.

Package Contents

Vado HD (2 nd Gen) Pocket Video Cam

HDMI Cable (only available with the 8GB model)

USB Extension Cable

Silicone Skin

Rechargeable Battery 1

The camera is a 720 p camera that records in 1280×720 dimensions , it comes in both 4gb and 8gb models . The size and form factor of the camera is what makes it so portable , a complete plastic encasing and with a flip out USB cable it makes it easy to take with you and easy to hook up to your computer to export your videos. 3 Recording modes are featured on the camera

VGA MODE (640×480)

HD (720 p)

HD+ (720p Finer Video Quality)

On these recording modes the battery life is expected at around 2 hours, the camera is almost instant on as soon as you turn on the power button it also features its basic media function keys like play , pause, record etc.

My personal Pros / Cons of the camera

PROS:

Wide Angle Lens captures widescreen type video

Instant On

Removable Battery

Easy to export/charge

Size & Compact

CONS:

Microphone Position

Plastic Body

Button Feedback

Lack of Auto-Focus

Focus in Low-Light Conditions

My full video review thoughts and test footage can be found below

My overall rating of the product is a 7 / 10 , If your looking for a decent cheap portable camera to record vlogs or those vacation moments this is the perfect camera for good lighting situations both indoors and outdoors if your looking for expandability this doesn’t have much external outlets other than the HDMI out put for your TV playback , though quality is great for its size and price.

As I’m sure all of you have noticed, recently YouTube has recent introduced a new video player. It features a sleeker design with an updated “HD” button. The the new player let’s you decide between 360/480/720P and 1080P. Yes this is nice, but why? What is the need for a 320P and 480P version of every video? There is a very minimal difference in actual video size (Mb’s and Gb’s) between 480P and 360P. So why not go with the higher quality. I’m sure that the 360P version of videos is for mobile phones, but then why show them for an option online?
Why can they just do like before with an “SD” and “HD” button? SD would be 480P and HD would be 720P by default, unless the video also had a 1080P option. How is my grandmother supposed to know the difference between 360, 480, 720, and 1080P? She does know the difference between HD and SD, but now am I supposed to tell her click on the highest number?

I know I’m making this a bigger deal than it is, but it kind of annoys me. Tell me what you think in the comments.

The Tech-World Podcast has been running now to about 60 Episodes, and has been providing Technology news , reviews, tutorials every week and the podcast has seen its updates through the way. I originally only started doing the podcast back in the 2008 year by myself and did episodes 1-15 with my logitech USB headset and didn’t have many promos etc. Since then we’ve upgraded our software and equipment mics , headsets etc and even acquired co-hosts like Wee493, Duncan Maile , Dan Valverde etc.

Since then we’ve looked to launch a new podcast network, taking the next step and launching multiple shows. An idea inspired by Leo Laporte over at the twit.tv network , I love pushing content and wanted a new perspective from the new generations eye and release new shows & even get the community involved in producing their own shows that can be featured on the network. Our recent purchase of www.thetechworld.org is to contribute were we’ll host our main content for the tech world and the podcast network over there as well.

Our show plan will be posted below on the shows we’ll be launching over the weeks and current one we have now…

The Tech-World Podcast ( Tech-News , Reviews & Tips )

Social-Buzz (Social Networking & Web 2.0 Tips)

App-Itizer ( App-Store news and reviews)

Tech-Topic ( Technology Topic questions submitted by the community)

* We also plan on launching a podcast on Gadgets, Video & Audio Media , Windows etc more shows will be added to the list soon as we organize show names etc.

As I mentioned the shows will be launched over the weeks and the calendar below is our public Tech-Podcast Network , its in the Tokyo, Japan GMT timezone as for exact times of recording and release they haven’t exactly been determined but will be tweeted and live streamed for each show , we also plan to upload the video recordings of the show in the future. As well as add new equipment and upgrades to our live stream along with mics , lighting etc.

My Main Opions and benchmark scores etc of the Intel SSD X-25 M 80 GB

Intel SSD Page- www.wiurl.com/ssd

www.intel.com

Hardware/Design Look

Opions Overall

Hardware- The Hardware design of the SSD is almost as great as it’s inside preformance. A great Hardrive design built to suit the preformance of the NAND and flash technology inside. The ssd comes in a 160gb and 80 gb capacity at the moment and is super-slim and light.

Performance Wise-

In the last 3-5 days of testing the SSD out preformance wise Boot speeds have increased from

54 to 30 seconds

around 25+ on clean install of windows xp pro

Application running and tasks all run great , quick and efficient. Applictions are very responisve right after boot. The same time goes about for shutdown in about 15-20 seconds. The SSD does a great job of maintaing a balance between forground apps and background tasks evening tasks in terms of virus scanning while , updating patches for a game or running apps while something like a scan or update is in progress.

All together the SSD has run smooth and efficient and as seen from the above benchmarks ( In The Video) you see more of these statistics.

I want to thank Kishore Rao of Intel’s Product Line Management for sending along the product.

On my review scale out of 10 it gets a perfect 10/10 for the quickest, efficient hardrive i’ve ever used by far.

Thanks again feel free to comment |rate | subscribe and pass any email out to
