Though already having an Application Store in the Iphone/Touch jail breaking still has it’s perks some advantages of the whole Cydia market are applications that provide

-More Customization to your phone/touch (Dock, Skins, Sounds , etc)

- Applications that were denied from app store & or against rules so you get some access to some unique tools ( GV Mobile , Cycorder , Categories ,etc )

So this tutorial will show you how to jail break the 3.0 firmware , and according to the Redsnow blog if your using 3.1 you should be able to use the 3.1 File instead of the 3.0.

If your using a mac I’ll have some alternatives below.
